Summary
This study tested whether a single dose of the experimental drug zelquistinel (AGN-241751) can quickly improve depression symptoms compared to a placebo. 251 adults with major depressive disorder took either the drug or a dummy pill, and researchers measured mood changes using a standard depression scale. The goal was to see if this pill could provide rapid relief, with follow-up checks over three weeks.
