NCT ID NCT06794229
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This phase 2 trial is testing a combination of two drugs, zanzalintinib and nivolumab, given before surgery to people with advanced kidney cancer that is hard to remove. The goal is to shrink the tumor enough so that surgery becomes possible. About 69 participants will receive the drugs for 12 weeks, and if the tumor shrinks, they may proceed to surgery or continue the drugs for up to 48 weeks.

- What this could lead to
- If successful, this combination could shrink advanced kidney tumors enough to allow surgery, potentially improving long-term control of the disease.
