NCT ID NCT07214233

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at whether trained peer support specialists can help LGBTQ+ youth (ages 12-17) who are involved with juvenile justice, child welfare, or mental health services and have thoughts of suicide or self-harm. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and acceptable, and to measure changes in recovery and suicidal behaviors. The study is small (60 participants) and early-stage, so it focuses on gathering information rather than proving a cure.
