New drug aims to help sepsis patients breathe on their own sooner

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called YD0743 in adults with sepsis who develop severe lung failure (ARDS) and need a breathing machine. The goal is to see if the drug helps patients use the ventilator for fewer days and improves oxygen levels. About 309 ICU patients will receive either YD0743 or a placebo for at least 7 days, with follow-up at day 28.
