New drug aims to get sepsis patients off ventilators faster

Summary

This study tests an experimental drug called YD0743 in adults with sepsis who develop severe lung failure (ARDS) and need a breathing machine. The main goal is to see if the drug helps patients spend fewer days on the ventilator compared to a placebo. About 309 ICU patients will receive the drug or placebo for at least 7 days and be followed for 28 days.
