First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether removing a blood clot with a special device (endovascular thrombectomy) plus standard medical care is better than standard care alone for people having a severe stroke caused by a large blockage. About 286 adults with large brain damage will be enrolled within 6 hours of stroke onset. The goal is to see if the procedure improves disability outcomes and survival.
