Summary

This study tested whether removing sugary drinks from hospital cafeterias and giving employees brief counseling could help them lose belly fat and improve insulin sensitivity. Over 600 full-time workers who drank at least three sugary beverages per week took part. Researchers measured changes in waist size and insulin resistance over 12 months.
