First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 28, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study looked at how a standardized ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) supplement is absorbed in healthy adults aged 65 and older. Researchers gave 11 participants either 240 or 480 mg of the supplement and measured levels of active compounds in their blood over 48 hours. The goal was to understand safety and how the body processes the supplement, not to treat any disease.
