First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether online referrals from doctors to the WIC food program help more pregnant women sign up. About 240 pregnant women on public insurance or uninsured took part. Some got usual care, others got a direct digital referral, and some also spoke with a dietitian. The goal was to see which approach increases enrollment and use of WIC benefits.
