Silent killer: mystery deaths in 'Controlled' high blood pressure patients

NCT ID NCT07187596

Summary

This research project is analyzing thousands of existing medical studies to understand a puzzling problem: why do some patients with high blood pressure who are on medication and have their blood pressure under control still die from heart attacks, strokes, or kidney failure? The goal is to identify hidden risk factors, treatment gaps, or other health conditions that contribute to these deaths. No new patients are being recruited; researchers are reviewing data from over 2,500 previously published studies.
