Vibration therapy shows promise for stronger bones in menopause
NCT ID NCT06222931
First seen Jun 03, 2026 · Last updated Jun 04, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether standing on special vibrating platforms for 12 months could help postmenopausal women maintain bone density, muscle mass, and physical performance while reducing falls. 127 women who had not exercised regularly were randomly assigned to one of two types of vibration or a placebo. The goal was to see if this simple, non-drug approach could counteract age-related declines in bone and muscle health.
