Ancient cupping therapy tested for modern back pain relief
NCT ID NCT05792358
Summary
This study tested whether adding wet cupping therapy to standard medication helps people with ankylosing spondylitis. One hundred adults with the condition were split into two groups: one received medication plus three monthly cupping sessions, while the other received only medication. Researchers measured changes in pain, stiffness, and back flexibility over three months to see if the cupping made a difference.
