New hope for kids struggling with weight: major drug trial launches

Summary
This large, Phase 3 study aims to test the safety and effectiveness of different weight management medications for children and teenagers with obesity or overweight. It will enroll 125 young participants aged 12 to under 18 who have previously tried lifestyle programs without enough success. The trial creates a flexible framework to evaluate multiple new drug treatments as they become available.
