Why your metabolism slows after dieting: scientists hunt for clues

NCT ID NCT05139420

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people's bodies slow down their metabolism more than others after losing weight. Researchers will follow 60 adults with obesity as they lose weight, measuring their metabolism and various hormones in their blood and urine over 18 months. The goal is to find biological markers that can predict who is at higher risk for this metabolic slowdown.
