First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested a high-intensity medical weight loss program combined with a digital platform to help people with type 2 diabetes lose weight and achieve remission. 64 participants with recent diabetes diagnosis and obesity were enrolled. The program used a digital tool to tailor treatment, provide automated support, and alert doctors when extra help was needed. The goal was to see if this approach could lead to diabetes remission, defined as normal blood sugar levels without diabetes medication.
