NCT ID NCT05371496

ENROLLING_BY_INVITATION Disease control Sponsor: Mayo Clinic Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study is testing if semaglutide, a medication used for weight loss, can improve heart function and symptoms in obese patients with a specific type of heart failure where the heart pumps normally but doesn't relax well. About 81 participants with obesity and this heart condition will receive either the drug or a placebo to see if aggressive weight loss helps their hearts work better during exercise and improves their quality of life.
