NCT ID NCT05156762
Summary
This study aimed to find the best way to help very obese patients lose weight before hip or knee replacement surgery. It compared weight-loss surgery, medical weight loss programs, and standard doctor advice. The goal was to see which method was most effective at helping patients reach a safer weight for surgery and maintain it afterward. The trial was stopped early after enrolling only 3 participants.
