New coaching program aims to tackle mental health crisis and improve HIV care for gay men in south africa
NCT ID NCT07226323
Summary
This study is testing whether a coaching program called WeCare can help men who have sex with men in South Africa better manage their mental health and stick to their HIV prevention or treatment medications. The program combines problem-solving therapy with practical skills for taking medications like PrEP or ART, and is delivered by trained community coaches. Researchers want to see if this approach reduces depression and anxiety while improving medication adherence and viral suppression.
