First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This completed trial tested a web-based training program called Comadres Saludables for community health workers (promotoras) who serve Hispanic women. 160 female health workers were randomly assigned to either the new online training or a standard government training. The goal was to see if the new program increased their confidence and knowledge to deliver obesity prevention programs. Researchers measured changes in self-efficacy and knowledge at 3 and 6 months.
