VA tests online lifeline: 40-Minute program aims to curb veteran suicide crisis
NCT ID NCT05884476
Summary
This study is testing a brief, web-based program designed to help veterans manage suicidal thoughts. About 180 veterans who have recently experienced these thoughts will either try the online program along with their usual care or continue with usual care alone. Researchers will check if the program, which teaches coping skills over roughly 40 minutes, leads to fewer or less severe suicidal thoughts and behaviors over one month compared to standard treatment.
