First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study will see if using a Garmin smartwatch to continuously track heart rate, breathing rate, and oxygen levels can help hospital staff in Ghana catch early warning signs of patient decline faster than the usual manual checks. About 250 children with traumatic injuries or after appendix surgery will wear the watch. The goal is to improve monitoring and potentially prevent emergencies.
