NCT ID NCT06689618
First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This small pilot study tests whether whole-body electrical muscle stimulation combined with exercise can improve the way nerves activate muscles in healthy older adults (65+). Participants will do supervised sessions twice a week for four weeks, with before-and-after tests of muscle firing rates and physical function like walking and stair climbing. The goal is to see if this approach can counteract age-related muscle decline.
