Second glass of water still works for low blood pressure, study finds
NCT ID NCT00580996
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at whether drinking water can still raise blood pressure in people with orthostatic hypotension (a condition where blood pressure drops when standing up) if they had already drunk water a few hours earlier. About 20 adults aged 18 to 80 with this condition will have their blood pressure and heart rate measured after drinking water twice in one day. The goal is to see if the effect wears off with repeated use.
