First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether warming the contrast dye used during an ERCP procedure can lower the chance of infection in people with hilar cholangiocarcinoma (a type of bile duct cancer). About 100 adults aged 18 to 90 will be randomly assigned to receive either room-temperature or body-temperature dye. The main goal is to see if fewer patients develop fever, chills, or belly pain within two weeks after the procedure.
