First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a warm foot bath combined with relaxation exercises can reduce pain and anxiety when chest tubes are removed after heart surgery. Sixty adults who had elective heart surgery will be randomly assigned to either relaxation exercises alone or relaxation plus a warm foot bath. The goal is to find a safe, drug-free way to improve patient comfort during this common but painful procedure.
