First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether listening to nature sounds while watching a virtual reality forest can lower pain and improve comfort during chest tube removal. Sixty adults will be randomly assigned to either use a VR headset with nature sounds or receive standard care. Researchers will measure pain, heart rate, breathing rate, comfort, and satisfaction to see if the VR experience makes a difference.
