New ankle training aims to boost walking in kids with cerebral palsy
NCT ID NCT05154253
First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests two new ways to help children with cerebral palsy walk better. First, it looks at whether targeted ankle resistance training improves muscle control and mobility more than standard physical therapy. Second, it tests if a robotic ankle brace that adapts to each child's needs helps them walk farther and with less effort. The study involves 36 children aged 8 to 21 who can already walk at least 30 feet.
