Leg casts may improve walking in kids with cerebral palsy

Summary

This small study tests whether wearing a rigid leg cast (from thigh to ankle) during treadmill training can safely improve how children with cerebral palsy walk. Six children aged 7 to 14 will take part in a 4-week walking program. Researchers will use motion cameras and muscle sensors to measure changes in walking quality and endurance.
