First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a structured 12-week walking program can improve metabolism, reduce fatigue, and lower stress in women with hypothyroidism who are already on thyroid medication. 120 women aged 35-55 will either walk 30 minutes, 5 times a week under supervision, or continue their usual routine. Researchers will measure changes in basal metabolic rate, heart rate variability, and stress hormones.

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a simple, drug-free way to help women with hypothyroidism feel better and improve their metabolism.
