First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether the environment where you exercise makes a difference. Fifty overweight women aged 60 and older walked for 10 weeks either in the scenic Yangshuo countryside or in a nursing home. Researchers measured changes in weight, body fat, mood, sleep, and strength to see if the natural setting amplified the benefits of walking.
