Can a simple walking program ease Veterans' chronic pain?

NCT ID NCT05051644

Summary

This study tested whether a simple, 4-week program combining pain education with a pedometer-guided walking plan could help veterans manage chronic pain while they are also receiving treatment for opioid addiction. The goal was to see if this approach was practical and acceptable to veterans, and to gather early signs of whether it might reduce how much pain interferes with daily life. The program was designed to be offered within existing addiction treatment clinics to make it more accessible.
