Virtual reality workouts could help older adults stay steady on their feet

NCT ID NCT07322861

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study will test whether a virtual reality exercise program (PABLO) is better than traditional physiotherapy (Otago) at improving balance and reducing fall risk in adults aged 45 and older who have fallen before or have balance issues. About 80 participants will do either VR or standard exercises twice a week for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure frailty, balance, mobility, and quality of life to see which approach works best.
