VR goggles aimed at healing minds after bodies change

NCT ID NCT05460104

Summary

This study is testing whether virtual reality (VR) therapy can help people feel better about their bodies after they have had major weight loss (bariatric) surgery. It compares a special VR program designed to help patients accept their new body shape against the standard follow-up care, which does not specifically address body image. The goal is to see if this technology can reduce body dissatisfaction and improve quality of life for patients 1-2 years after their operation.
