VR games tested as rehab tool for spinal cord injury patients
NCT ID NCT06154122
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether virtual reality (VR) games could be a useful addition to standard therapy for people with tetraplegia (paralysis of arms and legs) from a spinal cord injury. Twelve adults in a spinal injuries unit either received usual rehab or usual rehab plus VR games designed with input from patients and specialists. The main goal was to see if VR was practical and acceptable, not to prove it works, so results focus on how often participants used the VR and their feedback.
