Virtual nature journeys ease End-of-Life distress for patients and families

NCT ID NCT06186960

Summary

This study tested whether sharing a short, immersive nature experience in virtual reality could help hospice patients and their caregivers. Twenty-six people (patients and their caregivers together) tried a personalized 5-15 minute VR session. Researchers measured if this shared experience improved quality of life, reduced pain, and lessened fear of death for both people.
