Virtual reality goggles aim to keep ICU Patients' minds clear

NCT ID NCT07357389

Summary

This study is testing whether daily 15-minute virtual reality sessions can help prevent delirium in high-risk patients in the surgical intensive care unit (ICU). Participants will either receive standard ICU care or standard care plus calming VR experiences featuring nature scenes and meditation. The goal is to see if this non-drug approach can reduce how often delirium occurs and improve patient recovery.
