Virtual worlds calm nerves for breast biopsy patients
NCT ID NCT07267741
Summary
This study is testing whether using virtual reality (VR) headsets during a breast biopsy can help reduce patients' feelings of depression, anxiety, and stress. 80 patients in Palestine will be randomly assigned to either use a calming VR environment during their procedure or receive standard care. Researchers will compare the two groups to see if the VR experience makes a meaningful difference in easing psychological distress.
