First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at whether combining virtual reality mindfulness therapy with a gentle brain stimulation technique (tDCS) can reduce depression in people who have had a stroke. About 120 adults aged 18-65 with moderate to severe depression after a stroke will be randomly assigned to receive one of four treatments: both active therapies, only one, or a placebo. The goal is to see if the combined approach works better than standard care alone.
