First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether watching nature videos through virtual reality goggles and listening to binaural drumbeats could help men feel less pain and anxiety during a cystoscopy (a bladder exam). Sixty men having the procedure for the first time took part; half used the VR and sounds, and half received standard care. Results showed that those using VR and binaural beats reported less pain and anxiety, and their vital signs were more stable.
