Could the way you push during labor reduce pain and fatigue?
NCT ID NCT07316348
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at two different pushing methods during the second stage of labor: vocalization (making low sounds while pushing) and spontaneous pushing (following your body's natural urges). The goal is to see which technique leads to less pain, less fatigue, less tearing, and a better birth experience for first-time mothers. About 112 women will participate, and the results may help guide future birth recommendations.
