Large study probes hidden mental toll of skin condition
NCT ID NCT04953338
Summary
This study aimed to understand the mental health risks for adults with vitiligo, a condition that causes skin to lose its pigment. Researchers compared over 36,000 UK adults with vitiligo to people without it to see if they were more likely to experience depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues. The goal was to gather information to better support patients, not to test a new treatment.
