First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looked at whether taking vitamin D3 for 3 months can lower inflammation and boost immune cells in people with HIV who are already on antiretroviral therapy. Twenty adults with early-stage HIV took vitamin D3 supplements. Researchers measured changes in inflammation markers and CD4 counts to see if the vitamin could offer extra immune support.
