First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at whether low vitamin D levels in the first three months of pregnancy are linked to a higher chance of developing preeclampsia later on. Over 3,000 pregnant women in France had their vitamin D measured and were followed to see who developed preeclampsia. The goal was to understand how common vitamin D deficiency is and if it plays a role in this serious pregnancy condition.
