First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study will check if a pain-relief gas called MEOPA (used for sickle cell pain crises) causes vitamin B12 deficiency in children. Researchers will measure B12 levels in 29 children aged 2-18 during and after hospital stays. The goal is to understand how much exposure is risky and who might be most affected.
