Vitamin a and vaccines: a small study that never finished

NCT ID NCT03859687

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 37 times

Summary

This study looked at whether giving vitamin A supplements to healthy children aged 1 to 4 years old could improve their immune response to the pneumonia vaccine. The researchers planned to compare antibody levels in children who received vitamin A with those who did not. However, the study was stopped early and only 22 children took part, so the results are very limited.
