Brain wave test could revolutionize hearing aid fitting

NCT ID NCT05107466

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study explores whether a test that measures brain waves in response to visual images can be used in a new way for people with hearing loss. Researchers will compare these brain responses to standard hearing tests and thinking skills tests. The goal is to see if this test can help predict how well someone will do with a hearing aid or cochlear implant. About 100 adults with hearing loss and normal hearing will take part.
