NCT ID NCT04458194
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether virtual yoga classes can help cancer survivors who have trouble sleeping. About 42 survivors will either take 8 virtual yoga sessions over 4 weeks or continue their usual care. Researchers will measure changes in insomnia and sleep quality to see if the online program works.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
YOCAS©® yoga (a gentle yoga program with postures, breathing, and meditation)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a safe, accessible way for cancer survivors to improve sleep without medication.
What could go wrong
This is a small feasibility trial (42 people) with no blinding, so results may not be conclusive or generalizable. The benefit of virtual yoga over in-person sessions is still unknown.
