Phone app & sensor combo aims to tame diabetes
NCT ID NCT05935514
Summary
This study tested whether a virtual weight management program, combined with a continuous glucose monitor, could help adults with type 2 diabetes better control their blood sugar. 152 participants were assigned to either try this digital program or continue with their usual care for one year. The main goal was to see if the program led to a greater reduction in a key long-term blood sugar marker (HbA1c) compared to standard care.
