First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study uses virtual reality to show people two versions of the same neighborhood—one clean and tidy, the other with litter and graffiti—to see how these scenes affect stress and emotions. Researchers will measure heart rate, skin sweat, and feelings of anxiety in 32 adults who live in the area. The goal is to understand how visible neighborhood problems might impact health, not to treat any disease.
