First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) during removal of a catheter from the groin after a heart procedure could lower pain, anxiety, and keep vital signs stable. 100 adults were split into two groups: one wore VR goggles showing a calming scene, while the other received standard care. Results aim to show if VR is a safe, drug-free way to improve patient comfort.
