Summary

This pilot study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) during pre-oxygenation (breathing oxygen before anesthesia) can reduce patient anxiety. 46 adults undergoing elective surgery participated. Researchers measured anxiety levels and comfort for both patients and anesthetists. The goal was to see if VR is a feasible and helpful tool in this setting.
